As part of WP2 “Pre-Obesity Biomarkers”, biomarker analyses of samples collected during the SHIFT2HEALTH cross-sectional study are currently underway at FH JOANNEUM (FHJ) in Graz, Austria.
The analyses focus on biological pathways and early obesity-related biomarkers linked to shift work, sleep disruption and metabolic health. Samples collected from participants across the five participating European countries are being processed and analysed to better understand how shift work may influence obesity risk and related metabolic processes.
